Madelyn Hammond

President

Madelyn launched her own events and marketing company, Madelyn Hammond & Associates (MHA) 12 years ago which specializes in events, talent booking and video content production.

 

Her company produces a number of award shows including the American Cinematheque Tribute to the Crafts, the Critics Choice Celebration of Black Cinema & Television, the Final Draft Award Show and Deal with It: A Women’s Conference.

 

Prior to launching her own company, Madelyn was named the first Chief Marketing Officer for Variety where she oversaw global branding and PR. Throughout her career, Madelyn had extensive experience in marketing, licensing, exhibition and special events working with companies including Landmark Theatres, Sony Pictures, AMC Theatres, MGM/UA and The Coca-Cola Company.

Javier has worked for Madelyn Hammond & Associates (MHA) for almost 8 years. His responsibilities cover a wide range of areas including developing marketing collateral, researching and booking speakers, handling all event coordination and on-site activation, editing clips and identifying potential strategic partners and opportunities for clients.

 

Javier co-produces Deadline’s annual series of Contenders events. He was part of the team that expanded the Contenders series to London in 2017 and to New York City in 2018. He serves as co-director of programming for the annual Produced By Conference for the Producers Guild of America as well as co-produces the annual Deal With It: A Women’s Conference for the Motion Picture & Television Fund.

 

Prior to Madelyn Hammond & Associates, Javier worked for EPR Music, Inc. where he was the Management Assistant to the CEO working closely with six bands and several DJs/Producers including Chromatics, Glass Candy, Poolside and Bondê do Role. 

 

Additionally, he also worked with the special events team for GLAAD’s Annual Media Awards where he was responsible for developing content, soliciting major donors for the NY and LA silent auctions and coordinating Red Carpet arrivals.  

 

Before moving to Los Angeles, Javier served as the Outreach Coordinator at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
